Parenting is real struggle!

7:30:00 AM 1
Assalammualaikum

Raising and educating a child is not easy. As a mother to a child I also find it hard to raise a child to be what we want. Who doesn't want the best for his children? So am I.

Who thinks educating a child can be a difficult thing especially as teenagers grow up. The struggle is real. Educating teenagers is not the same as raising children. I as a mother need to be at the same level as her. So that he can tell more easily and make me his best friend. However, talking is not as beautiful as it can be.

One of the things I dreaded when I was educated was that I worried that I could not be a good mother to my child. No matter how much effort I put into it, it still requires two sides, a mother and a daughter to work together to make that dream come true.

That's why in Islam, no matter how bad we are, we are told to pray. Because prayer is a pillar of religion. Without a pillar, then collapse into a mosque or family institution. I'm not very good at religion, but at least I'm trying to be the best at educating kids. When children become teenagers, being angry is no longer an option. There must be other options for educating these teens.

Sometimes over control is not possible. Allowing him to do something out of our control is also good and bad. Because these kids learn from what they see and hear. So I as a mother sometimes get things wrong or I don't.

What I fear most is peer pressure. This is what makes me more careful in raising children. With a good influence, God willing children will be better but if with a bad influence, I worry that things are not going to happen. Moreover, these teenagers are in the process of wanting to know and to try everything.

I always say to Iman, "awak tu sorang je anak mama. Mama takde anak lain dah. Takde orang lain dah."

Do you think that death can be a choice to die next week, to die next year, to die after 100 years? The dead can invite us anytime. Ready or not, it should start from now. Seriously, parenting is a struggle so sometimes I feel like giving up with all of this.

Cambodia : The Begin of Lara Croft

8:00:00 AM 4
Assalammualaikum

Cambodia is not even in my wish list. Tapi bila ada kawan yang mengajak, then I thought, why not kan ! So the trip plan so well, even-though adalah sikit-sikit perkara yang agak mengecewakan. Well.. sometimes it happen kan. Destinasi pilihan adalah Siem Reap sebab kononnya nak acah-acah photoshoot kat tempat Lara Croft. 😎

Untuk yang jenis cheapskate like me, of course la kalau boleh segala jenis penjimatan nak cut off. Since sebelum ni penah baca blog Dayah pasal dia pegi Siem Reap ni, so kali ni I also decide to use the same tour guide. Ternyata pilihan kami tak salah. Walaupun kami cuma request for 1 day tour je, tapi Zack offer untuk whole trip tour which kami cuma perlu bayar untuk 1 day tour sahaja. So generous dan sangat recommended !

Hari Pertama

KLIA2 adalah tempat pertemuan kami and we did everything on time. Sepanjang penerbangan alhamdulillah everything goes okey and when we arrived at Siem Reap, pihak hotel memang telah sediakan return airport transfer secara percuma untuk kami. So, sampai sana, kita tengok signboard nama kami je dan terus follow pemandu.

So, lepas rehat dan solat, kami pun tunggu Zack kat lobi.

Tak lama lepas Zack sampai, dia pun bawa kitorang jalan-jalan pusing town. Ada la beberapa tempat menarik yang Zack bawa tapi sepintas lalu je sebab dah lewat petang. Almost maghrib, Zack bawa kami makan kat Muslim Family Restaurant.

Tapi kat tempat orang kan, kita follow the flow je. Untuk 1 day pass harganya adalah USD37 which you can visit any of angkor tak kira la nak masuk semua pun boleh.

Ta Prohm (Khmer: αž”្រាសាαž‘αžាαž–្រហ្ម, pronunciation: prasat taprohm) is the modern name of the temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara (in Khmer: រាαž‡αžœិហារ). Located approximately one kilometre east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray, it was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VI as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. UNESCO inscribed Ta Prohm on the World Heritage List in 1992. Today, it is one of the most visited complexes in Cambodia’s Angkor region. The conservation and restoration of Ta Prohm is a partnership project of the Archaeological Survey of India and the APSARA (Authority for the Protection and Management of Angkor and the Region of Siem Reap)

Memang photoshoot sakan kat sini siap buat scene Lara Croft. Tapi tu la, ramai sangat orang, nak amik gambar pun kena beratur. Kat sini punye rabak berphotoshoot sampai kami semua rentung. Habis semua sunblock, sunscreen tembus. Last angkor yang kami pegi adalah Angkor Watt. Ini of course la wajib pegi kan, the most famous angkor in Cambodia. Kat sini pun kami photoshoot sampai rentung. Gambar je takde dalam ni sebab semua dalam phone kamera Zack. Kena godek balik dalam PC ni sebab cari-cari tak jumpa.

Sampai tahap tak lalu dah nak tengok angkor, Zack pun bawa kami pergi makan. Menu memang sedap la mengikut tekak lelagi tengah laparudin. Air sejuk pun berjag-jag kami minum. Tak cukup 3 jag, kami minta topup lagi. Kat sini kami terus solat jamak sebab lepas tu kami akan terus bertolak ke Tonle Sap. Perjalanan lebih kurang dalam sejam. So, boleh la relaks kejap dalam kereta.

ni gambar apa pun dah tak ingat dah

Sampai Tonle Sap, Zack belikan tiket kalau tak silap dalam USD15. Lupa sudah. Rasa macam malas nak share gambar kat Tonle Sap sebab pemandangan dia tak seperti yang di war-warkan. Air keruh gile macam teh tarik extra manisss. Lagipun masa ni memasing dah letih sebab cuaca memang panas gile. Gile pun tak panas macam ni.

Hari Ketiga
Nak balik dah. Macam biasa, sarapan dulu. Lepas tu kami jalan-jalan disekitar pasar dan masuk la kedai-kedai souvenir area pasar tu beli apa yang patut. Then kami minta kebenaran kat pihak hotel untuk late check-out sebab nak solat jamak dulu, kang kat airport belum tentu jumpa surau. Nasib baik pihak hotel bagi tanpa sebarang caj. So, selesaikan apa yang patut dulu, then lepas Zohor Zack datang amik dan terus hantar kami ke airport.

breakfast

bye

nak balik dah

jejak kasih dengan kawan lama kat sini

Untuk this trip, memang bukan budget trip sangat pun, 3 hari je pun tapi dekat 1k sebab mostly sini pakai USD. So far, Cambodia ni okey la. Tapi for me, it's a good experience dan kalau ada rezeki, why not datang lagi kan.
